Heard Ms.Ms.Jothilakshmi,V.S, learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the records.

2. This revision petition is filed seeking expeditious disposal of Page No.1/4

H.M.O.P.No.642 of 2021 pending on the file of the Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner being a husband has filed O.P.No.642 of 2021 against the respondent/wife seeking divorce on the ground of cruelty and desertion. The respondent stated to have appeared before the trial Court and filed a counter on 14.11.2022 and since then, the matter adjourned from time to time and enquiry has not been taken. It is submitted that on account of pendency of the suit, lot of hardship is being caused to the petitioner.

4. Considering the circumstances, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of directing the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai to expedite the trial and dispose of O.P.No.642 of 2021 as expeditiously as possible, preferably six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
