Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent to register a case on the petitioner's compliant dated 19.09.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that his cousin sister one Lalli has cheated the petitioner by receiving a sum of Rs.10,00,000/- and the said Lalli and his sister Raji also received 15 sovereigns of jewels for going to the relatives marriage and they have not returned the same and hence, the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 19.09.2015 before the respondent. He further submitted that based on the complaint dated 19.09.2015 lodged by the petitioner, the petition enquiry is pending in C.S.R.No.1289 of 2015 before the respondent.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry expeditiously and during the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, a regular case shall be registered, following the decision laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttarpradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
