O R D E R

The relief sought in this writ petition is to consider the claim of the petitioners for revision of the pension and other retrial benefits of the petitioners correspondingly by advancing their up-gradation as Grade -I Police Constable/Head Constable on completion of 10/5 years and upgrade notionally as Special Sub-Inspector of Police in accordance with orders passed on 06.07.2012 in W.P.Nos.17276 etc., of 2012.

2.The writ petitioners state that they are also similarly placed persons against whom an order has been passed by this Court on 06.07.2012 in W.P.No.17276 of 2012. However, the benefit of revision of pension and other retiral benefits are not extended in spite of the representation submitted in September 2012.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader has made a submission that the writ petitioners are not qualified for any such benefit and therefore, the same cannot be considered.

4. However, the Authorities competent have not taken any decision or passed orders in this regard on the representation submitted by the writ petitioners. Thus, without going into the merits, the writ petitioners are at liberty to submit a fresh representation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of any such representation from the writ petitioners, it is for the respondents to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period twelve weeks thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
