Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the impugned order of sealing notice dated nil, affixed on the premises situated in D.No.75, Ranganathan Street, T.Nagar, Chennai 600 017 on 31.10.2011 and quash the same and consequently issue a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the lock put up by them in the said premises within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court by enabling the petitioner to carry on their business in their respective portions.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the impugned notice calling for the sanctioned plan was apparently served on a dead person, which resulted in the lock and seal notice. In some cases, it is stated that the notices were addressed to wrong addresses.

2. Be that as it may, it is stated that the petitioner has submitted the requisite documents on 27.12.2011.

3. In view of the above, the Corporation is directed to look into the documents submitted by the petitioner and if further documents are required, to call for the same and take a decision in accordance with law about the legality of the construction within a maximum period of three months from the date of receipt of the order.

4. The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of, leaving the parties to bear their own costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
