ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners, apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 6(4) of the TN Scheduled Commodities (RDCS) Order 1982, Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of Essential Commodities Act, 1955 in Crime No.108 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners were in illegal possession of 30,000 kgs of PDS Rice without any permission or license. Hence, the complaint.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that earlier applications filed by the petitioners before this Court in Crl.O.P.No.10515 of 2022 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Crl.O.P.No.11321 of 2022 were dismissed on 05.05.2022 and 18.05.2022 respectively. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

6. Considering the huge quantity of essential commodities seized and taking note of the fact that this Court had dismissed the earlier applications filed by the petitioner and that there is no change of circumstances. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. -sd/- 07/06/2022 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.) High Court, Madras - 600 104.
