Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of MR. A.DAMODARAN, Government Advocate (Crl.
Side) Advocate for the Petitioner and of MR. A.RAJA MOHAMED, Advocate on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] seeks extension of time to complete the investigation in Crime No.9 of 2019 and to file a final report. Earlier this Court by its order dated 10.09.2020 had directed the respondent the police to complete the investigation in Crime No.9 of 2019 pending on the file of the respondent police and to file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.
2.He further submitted that the present Investigating Officer, who took up the investigation only on 23.03.2021 and he had given priority and investigated the case and examined several witnesses. Further he submitted that within the stipulated time the investigation in the above said Crime number would not be completed and hence the respondent police filed this petition seeking extension of time for a further period of six months to complete the investigation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3.Considering the submissions and on perusal of the materials, it is seen that the investigation in this case is almost completed and the charge sheet to be filed within a short period. 4.In view of the above, this Court granted permission and also directed the respondent police to complete the investigation and to file the final report, within a period of two months from today onwards.
