This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of certiorarified mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2025 and to pass appropriate orders thereon after conducting due

enquiry.

It is the case of the petitioner she is the daughter of one Late Rangammal, who died on 03.04.1983, and she had approached the Tahsildar by submitting an online application through e-seva vide Application No.TN7202501071582 for issuance of a legal heir certificate. However, the said application was rejected by the Tahsildar concerned without application of mind and without conducting any enquiry. However, subsequent thereto, the petitioner filed an appeal against the rejection of the online application before the respondent herein on 28.01.2025. It is the further case that during the pendancy of the said appeal, the Revenue Inspector, Annur Taluk, also conducted an enquiry into the matter and issued Patta No.610 to one of the legal heirs by name R.Rangasamy Pillai.

According to learned counsel for the petitioner, in terms of the said enquiry conducted by the Revenue Inspector, Annur Taluk, the respondent herein also can also dispose of the appeal by conducting appropriate enquiry. However, as the respondent is not taking any action, the petitioner approached this court by filing the present writ petition.

3. Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General, representing Mr.T.M.Rajangam, learned Government Advocate, fairly submitted

that the respondent would consider the representation dated 28.01.2025 filed by the petitioner in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

4. In the light of the above, this court does not see any reason to keep the matter pending. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner through the representation dated 28.01.2025 and dispose of the same after conducting due enquiry, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
