ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 03.03.2021 for the alleged offence under Sections 395 read with 397 of IPC in Crime No.632 of 2008 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. This is the case of the year 2008. The Non-Bailable Warrant was pending for a long time and the petitioner was ultimately arrested in Mumbai, and thereafter, he is now facing trial.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in jail from 03.03.2021.

4. On the other hand, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there are 10 previous cases pending against the petitioner, and if the petitioner enlarged on bail, he would again abscond and the cases will be kept pending for a long time. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Considering the submissions on both sides, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, but, however, at the same time, the petitioner cannot be kept in incarceration for a long period of time. Therefore this Criminal Original Petition is disposed off with a direction to the respondent to complete the committal proceedings within a period of three weeks from today and upon committal, the learned trial Court is directed to take up the trial as far as possible on a day to day basis and complete the same within a period of four months from the date of taking Session's case on file.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
