ORDER
The petition has been filed to direct the respondent to issue accelerated
promotion to the petitioner in pursuance to the petitioners representation dated 19.07.2023 and Memorandum of the first respondent dated 22.12.2023 made in Rc. No.NGB I (2) /E/ 34/ 2023 within a time frame.
2. It is the case of the petitioner he was appointed as Grade II Constable on 01.06.1974 and subsequently, retired from service on 30.12.2008 after attaining superannuation. It is the contention of the petitioner that he had rendered numerous services thereby became eligible for the accelerated promotion.
3. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 19.07.2023. The first respondent directed the second respondent to take suitable action vide Memorandum dated 22.12.2023. Till date, there was no further action initiated by the second and third respondents. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated
19.07.2023, pursuant to the direction issued by the first respondent dated 22.12.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
