ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to conduct further investigation in Crime No.958 of 2014 dated 4.8.2014, which is pending on his file.

2. In the petition, it is averred that the marriage between the petitioner's daughter V.Ramani with one P.Vivek was solemnized on 23.8.2009 as per Hindu Customs and Rites. On 3.6.2010, the petitioner's daughter V.Ramani gave birth to a male child viz., V.Krithi. After the birth of the child, the parents of said P.Vivek did not allow the petitioner's daughter to live with her husband and child.

Thereafter, the petitioner's daughter and her husband lived separately. Later, the petitioner's son in law P.Vivek has been using liquor https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

regularly and addicted as drunkard. While so, all of a sudden, on 1.8.2014 at about 7.45 a.m., the petitioner was informed that his daughter V.Ramani got simple burn injuries due to burst of stove. After three days, the petitioner's daughter V.Ramani had died in the hospital. Though, it is a clear case of Section 498 (A) and 304(B) I.P.C., the respondent police registered the case under Section 174(3) Cr.P.C. and closed the same as fire accident. Further, till date, they have not filed the final report. Hence, the present petition.

Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor filed status report and submitted that the investigation in this case is yet to be completed and as soon as the respondent police receives the final opinion from the Doctor against the Chemical Analysis Report, they would file the final report.

4. Since the investigation in Crime No.958 of 2014 is almost completed, I am of the opinion, the question of further investigation in this case does not arise.

5.
