The issue raised is covered by the judgment of the Division Bench in W.A.No.224 of 2023 dated 20.10.2023, wherein, it was held that the Local Fund Audit Department cannot sit in appeal over the order of the University granting promotion. Moreover, the order withdrawing the promotion has been made on the basis of the audit objection. The very audit objection was subject matter of challenge in W.P.No.15614 of 2022 and this Court by order dated 09.04.2024 had set aside the audit objection. Therefore, the consequent order has to necessarily be set aside. The writ Court has just done right.

2. Therefore, we see no need to interfere with the order of the writ Court. The Writ Appeal fails and it is accordingly dismissed. Eight (8) weeks time is granted for compliance with the order of the learned Single Judge. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
