The prayer sought in these applications are:- [A.No.1595 of 2026] To permit the Administrator General and Official Trustee (AG & OT) to pay a sum of Rs.5,00,140/- to the Pachaiyappas Charities, Chennai - 30, from the income of the Trust Estate of V.Thiruvengadathan Chetty Charities for award of scholarship of 12 Arya Vysya Students for the Academic Year 2024-25 with maximum ceiling of Rs.50,000/- for any individual applicant if his claim exceeds Rs.50,000/- as found in the annexure.

[A.No.1596 of 2026] To permit the AG & OT to pay a sum of Rs.21,021/- towards the advertisement charges for the paper publication in Tamil Daily Newspaper Daily Thanthi dated 22.08.2025 to the Pachaiyappas Charities, Chennai - 30, from the income of the Trust Estate of V.Thiruvengadathan Chetty Charities.

2. In A.No.1595 of 2026, the prayer sought by the learned AG & OT is to sanction a sum of Rs.5,00,140/- towards the

scholarship payable to the Arya Vysya Students of Pachayappa College as per the Will of the original Testator. Every year, such sanction is being made from the funds of the V.Thiruvengadathan Chetty Trust. This year also, though request had come for a sum of Rs.8,10,640/-, now, sanction could be made, according to the learned AG & OT, to the extent of Rs.5,00,140/- based on the maximum ceiling of Rs.50,000/- being fixed for each of the students who are entitled for merit scholarship.

3. Having considered the said request made by the learned AG & OT and having taken into account of the Will of the Testator and also every year since such sanction is being made, this Court is inclined to allow this application and accordingly, A.No.1595 of 2026 in O.P.No.109 of 1942 is ordered.

Insofar as A.No.1596 of 2026 is concerned, in order to invite applications from the eligible candidates for sanctioning of the scholarship, paper advertisement has to be made in a Tamil Daily Newspaper, Daily Thanthi, dated 22.08.2025 and the expenses incurred for such publication has come to be a sum of Rs.21,021/-. Therefore, such amount has been requested by the Pachaiyappas Charitable Trust, Chennai - 30, from the income of the Trust Estate

of V.Thiruvengadathan Chetty, therefore, that has been requested by the AG & OT to sanction the same.

5. In view of the same, A.No.1596 of 2026 in O.P.No.109 of 1942 is also ordered.
