Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to sanction the fund from the Tamil Nadu Government Employees Health Fund Scheme towards assistance to Late Thiru.V.Sathivadivel for medical treatment and surgery undergone by him from 19.11.2005 to 25.11.2005 while working as Driver Government Hospital Dharapuram and disburse the same to the petitioner with interest for the delayed payment.

The delay on the part of the first respondent to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner for the treatment of her husband made her to file this writ petition.

2. The husband of the petitioner was a driver in Government hospital, Dharapuram. While in service, he was admitted in G.Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore on 19.11.2015 on account of congestive cardiac failure. Her husband underwent coronary angiogram on 25.11.2015 and expired on the same day. The petitioner spent a sum of Rs.1,66,939.75 towards treatment. She submitted an application on 11.1.2008 to the respondent in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

prescribed format claiming reimbursement.

Since the said application was not taken note of by the first respondent, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the first respondent is now seized of the matter and every effort would be taken to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible.

4. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the application dated 11.1.2008 for reimbursement as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
