Mr.G.Janakiraman, learned standing counsel takes notice for the first respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Since it is stated that the second respondent is the owner of the premises, in which the petitioner is in occupation as a tenant and no relief is sought for against the second respondent, notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus, directing the first respondent to carry out the repairing work of metro water and sewerage line connection in the premises at Old No.45, New No.84, Ellis Road, Triplicane, Chennai-600 005, based on the representation dated 23.08.2017.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent has not taken any steps so far. Needles to say that the concerned Area Officer of the first respondent Board has to consider the representation of the petitioner and take appropriate action immediately.
It appears that the petitioner has made a representation only to the first respondent, who is the Managing Director of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (CMWSSB). Therefore, the petitioner is directed to give a copy of the said representation to the concerned Area Officer of the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) immediately. On receipt of such representation, the said Area Officer is directed to take appropriate action, without loss of further time.
5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
