The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 4th respondent to consider the representation dated 24.04.2017 and reminder representation dated 08.06.2017 to issue patta in respect of S.No.31/2 measuring an extent of 15 cents situated in Ellavadi Village, Mungil Padi Post, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District within a time frame.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representations dated 24.04.2017 and 08.06.2017, the 4th respondent has not issued patta yet.
3.Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is seeking for issuance of patta in respect of the adjacent lands, therefore, only on production of relevant documents, the representation of the petitioner can be considered. Further, the learned Government Advocate submitted that on production of all the necessary documents, the 4th respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representations in accordance with law. 4.
Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, the petitioner is directed to produce all the relevant documents before the 4th respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The 4th respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 24.04.2017 and 08.06.2017 and also the documents produced by the petitioner and pass orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of the documents by the petitioner. 5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
