This petition is filed by the claimant to condone the delay of 507 days in filing the appeal challenging the judgment and decree, dated 31.07.2017 in MACTOP No.349 of 2016, on the file of Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Special Sub Court, Tiruvannamalai.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. We have also heard the learned counsel for the Insurance Company.

3.The Miscellaneous Petition is allowed, subject to the condition that in the event the appeal is allowed, the claimant would not be entitled for interest for the period of 507 days taking into account the delay in initiating the appeal.
