(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner filled in his form for recruitment to the post of Sub-Inspector in pursuance to the notification issued on 08.02.2015 as a departmental candidate, under SC category. There is a separate category of SC Arundadhiyar and the petitioner had filled in both the columns. This appears to have caused some confusion in the mind of the respondent authorities.
2. In any case, that confusion is over and the learned Additional Advocate General cannot seriously dispute the competency of the petitioner to participate in the examination. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. The petitioner is, thus, entitled to the declaration of his result having gone through all the stages, according to merit.
4. Writ petition, accordingly, stands allowed. No costs.
