ORDER
This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed praying to suspend the sentence imposed in the judgment dated 30.12.2024 passed in Spl.SC.No.47 of 2023 on the file of the learned Special Court for Trial of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act Cases, Villupuram and to enlarge the petitioner on bail pending disposal of the above appeal. 2.
The case of the prosecution is that the first accused was found in possession of 5 kg 400 gram of tobacco products. The petitioner, who is the first accused in Spl.SC.No.47 of 2023, has been convicted and sentenced by the learned Special Court for Trial of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act Cases, Villupuram, vide judgment dated 30.12.2024, as follows:
Rank of the accused Conviction under Section Sentence awarded to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years and to pay fine of Rs.1,00,000/- 3.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A1 Section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent. 4.
On perusal of records, this Court finds no reasons to suspend 2/4
the sentence since the Trial Court has gone through the evidence in its entirety and also finds that the petitioner had committed very serious offence against the society.

In the result, this petition is dismissed.
