ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who are arrested on 13.05.2021 and remanded to judicial custody for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 392 of IPC in Crime No.421 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with another accused involved in the offence of snatching the gold chain in Ambattur Area on 12.05.2021. Based on the complaint lodged by the defacto complainant, the respondent police registered a case against the petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence and the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate submitted that there are 13 previous cases pending against the petitioner and the gold chain is yet to be recovered. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. It is seen from the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the gold chain stolen by the petitioner has not been recovered so far and the petitioner is a habitual offender. Considering the same, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
