ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the respondents to forthwith defreeze the petitioner's Current Bank Account No.0183360000001851.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the first respondent and perused the materials placed on record.
3. It is seen that, pursuant to the registration of FIR in Crime No.313 of 2024 under Sections 316(2), 318(4) of BNS and Section 66D of the IT Act, the first respondent requested the second respondent to freeze the petitioner's bank account, on the ground that a considerable amount has been transferred to the said account, treating it as the 6th layer in the money trail linked to the accused. However, the petitioner is not named as an accused in the said FIR.
4. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the first respondent submitted that the first respondent had already sent a communication to defreeze the petitioner's account.
5. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to permit
the petitioner to operate his account.
