Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 11.05.2016 for withdrawal of the Office Order issued by the second respondent in No.11019/1718/2012-Admn dated 07.01.2014 and to restore the offer of appointment issued vide Letter in File No.11012/155/2009Admn./33232 dated 27.10.2012 and the permanent absorption order issued in Letter No.11012/155/2009-Admn.(pt)/46190 dated 26.11.2013 and to allow the petitioner to join National Highways of Authority of India in the post of Manager (Technical) with continuity of service with all consequential and other attendant benefits, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a limited relief for a direction to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2016. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would strongly object to the said prayer on the ground that the petitioner has already retired from service and, therefore, the Writ Petition has become infructuous. 2/5

3.Perusal of the records reveals that no counter-affidavit has been filed by the respondents since the year 2016.

4.In the above circumstances, considering the limited nature of the relief sought by the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2016, on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
