The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 18.03.2024 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 342, 307, 427 and 506 (ii) of IPC, in Crime No.160 of 2024 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner (A1) is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is in custody from 18.03.2024 and he is also ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police raised objection stating that due to the previous enmity, the petitioner along with other accused quarreled with the de facto complainant and his wife, during which, the accused had abused him in a filthy language and attempted to murder them with knife and also thrown stones on the roof of the de facto complainant's house and caused damage. He further submitted that there are four accused in this case and the petitioner, who is arrayed as A1, is a history sheeter against whom 23 previous cases are pending and further, Goondas proposal is also pending against him. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the goondas proposal is also pending against the petitioner and taking note of the fact that one of the accused is still absconding and also considering the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
