This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to grant affiliation to the petitioner pursuant to the application dated 11.06.2016.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner had filed application for affiliation on 11.06.2016 before the 3rd respondent, the same has been pending for more than 6 years. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. Even though notice served on the respondents 2 and 3, none appeared on behalf of them.
4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.
5. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application for affiliation and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
