ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.02.2024, by allocating a job suitable for the petitioner's educational qualification.

2. The husband of the petitioner by name Johnson S/o. Thangaraj was working as a Fireman and he died while in service on 02.02.2022. Accordingly, an application to appoint the petitioner on compassionate basis is made. The petitioner is the wife of the deceased employee and she

has two children studying in 10th Standard and 8th Standard respectively. After getting no-objection, the petitioner's name is kept in the list meant for Revenue Department. The petitioner has made subsequent representations and reminders to consider the case. It can be seen from the papers annexed along with the writ petition that till date the petitioner's case has not been taken and considered though her name is recommended in respect of post of "Junior Assistant".

3. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner on compassionate basis in accordance with law with reference to her representation dated 24.02.2024 and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
