By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner was appointed as Assistant Manager [Agriculture] in the services of the Indian Bank and he joined in that capacity at Thiruthuraipoondi on 25.06.2007 and subsequently,
he was promoted as Manager, Scale-I and posted as Branch Manager at Voimedu, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam District on 16.06.2011 and he worked in that capacity till 14.07.2014. The petitioner would claim that on account of the tireless and hard work put up by him, the total business of the Bank incrased from Rs.30 crores to Rs.77 crores and taking into account his meritorious service, he was given promotion as Scale-III Officer in the cadre of Senior Manager [Agriculture] and posted in Nagapattinam branch on 15.07.2014. The petitioner was transferred to Kumbakonam Zonal Office on 11.12.2014 on certain charges and an oral enquiry was conducted and thereafter, he was issued with an order of suspension on 07.04.
2015 by the 3rd respondent alleging certain irregularities in the settlement of the insurance / incentive for crop loans at Voimedu branch. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though nearly 3 months had elapsed, no charge memo has been issued and the petitioner is finding it difficult to maintain his family without even the subsistence allowance being paid and in this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 07.04.2015 praying for revocation of the suspension order and reinstatement into service and since he has not been favoured with any response, he came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner Mr.Jayesh B.Dolia, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.
