With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of patta in her favour in respect of 2.75 acres of land in old No.21, 36, New S.No.164/1, Thathaiyangarpatti Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District, in the light of her representation dated 10.12.2023.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. According to the petitioner, she is in possession of the subject land, in which she is doing agricultural operations. While so, the President of the Village Panchayat is trying to evict her from the subject land as if it is an encroachment, to construct a cement concrete thrashing floor. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 10.12.2023 to the respondents, narrating these facts and requested for 2/4

grant of patta in her favour. Since no action has been taken by the respondents on the said representation, she has filed the present writ petition.

5. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2023 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 05.06.2024 gya Index : Yes/No To 1.The District Collector, Salem District Salem.
