ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to rectify the bank account number of the petitioner's son namely Vishwa in the order dated 17.10.2022 passed by the 2nd respondent pursuant to his representations dated 12.01.2026 and 23.02.2026.

2. Mr.S.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel appearing for either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that pursuant to his application seeking grant of monthly pension to his son, who is a person with 80% of hearing and speech impairment, the 2nd respondent passed an order dated 17.10.2022 granting monthly pension to the petitioner's son wherein, the account number of the petitioner's son has been wrongly mentioned as 123201000002286 instead of 123201000082286. In order to rectify the same, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 23.02.2026. However, till date, no order has been passed on the same and therefore, in order to espouse the said cause, the petitioner has come up with the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 & 2 who has no objection to the said order being passed.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2026 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties including the rival claimants, if any.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
