O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue Thoraya Patta in favour of the petitioner with respect to the subject property which has been categorized as a Grama Natham in the revenue records.

2.Heard Mr.P.Vasanth, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.N.Naveen Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the subject property was under the possession and enjoyment of her husband and after his demise in the year 2009, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner had submitted application seeking for issuance of thoraya patta in her name. Pursuant to the application, the respondent had also sought for the details of the petitioner and whatever details were sought for was also furnished to the respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner have made various representations to the respondent and same did not evoke any response. Left with no other option, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to take a final decision on the representations made by the petitioner seeking for thoraya patta with respect to the subject property on its own merits and in accordance with law. This process shall be completed by the respondent, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
