Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the concerned records relating to the G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 23.08.2011 passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 4 not to open Elite/New Retail Vending shops by TASMAC in the State of Tamilnadu.

(The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the respondents states that against the proposal to open 200 arrack shops in pursuance to G.O.Ms.No.43 dated 23.08.2011, only 27 shops were opened and there is no proposal to open more shops.

2. The writ petition stands closed, leaving the parties to bear their own costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
