O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, FTC-III, Saidapet, Chennai to expeditiously dispose of the private complaint in C.C.No.6221 of 2014.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials placed on record.

3. The petitioner has lodged a complaint in CC.No.6221 of 2014 under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act and the same is pending before the learned FTC-III, Saidapet. Under such circumstances, the complainant has filed the present petition for a direction to the learned Magistrate to complete the trial expeditiously.

4. It is seen that the complainant himself has not yet been cross-examined by the accused. The trial Court is directed to obtain a bond of Rs.5,000/- with two sureties under Section 88 Cr.P.C. from the accused as directed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Indian Bank Association and Others Vs Union of India and Others [2014] 5 SCC 590. The trial Court is directed to complete the trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
