When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner has never approached the authority seeking permission to conduct the cultural programmme in the "Sri Ponniamman Koil" situated at Pudhur Village, Girisamudhram Post, Vaniambadi Taluk, Vellore District, scheduled to be held on 13.09.2018. He has simply sent the representation dated 30.08.2018 by post to the respondent. 2.Without approaching the respondent for appropriate orders, the petitioner cannot file a writ and hence, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
