O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to sub-divide the properties comprised in S.No.262/4 to an extent of 0.65 cents and in S.No.262/8 to an extent of 0.32 cents situated at Kadambur Village, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District and issue separate patta to the petitioner, by considering his applications dated 28.11.2023, 28.12.2023 and 05.01.2024, within the time stipulated by this court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the petitioner is that he purchased the property to an extent of 0.65 cents in S.No.262/4, Kadambur Village, Gangavalli Taluk, on 24.01.2019; subsequently, his father executed a settlement deed dated 30.01.2019, settling an extent of 0.32 cents in S.No.262/8, Kadambur Village, Gangavalli Taluk, in his favour. Therefore, he made applications to the 1st respondenton 28.11.2023, 28.12.2023 and finally on 05.01.2024, seeking patta transfer and sub-division of the said properties. However, the said applications have not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's applications dated 28.11.2023, 28.12.2023 and 05.01.2024 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 05.06.2024 gya Index : Yes/No To The Tahsildar Gangavalli Taluk Office, Salem District.
