ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner ; and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition seeking for a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders for promoting the petitioner to the post of Primary School Headmaster, Panchayat Union Primary School, Modakeri, Dharmapuri Union and District in operation of Primary School Headmaster panel for the year 2015-16 with all consequential and other attendant benefits.

It is seen that the petitioner, seeking the above said relief, has sent a representation to the 1st respondent on 18.03.2016 and the 2nd respondent, vide order dated 28.03.2016, has returned the said representation to the petitioner by stating that the decisions regarding all the promotions and transfers would not be taken due to the ensuing Assembly Elections during May 2016 and further directed the petitioner to send the representation to the 1st respondent, viz., the District Educational Elementary Officer.

But a perusal of the representation dated 18.03.2016 would reveal that the said representation was addressed to the 1st respondent only through the 2nd respondent.

In view of the above, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, after duly considering the seniority list dated 01.01.2015 and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
