This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1853 of 2024 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate Fast Track Court No.IV, George Town, Chennai,

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the

materials placed before this Court.

3. Though several grounds have been raised by the petitioner, it is seen that the trial has already been commenced in S.T.C.No.1853 of 2024 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate Fast Track Court No.IV, George Town, Chennai and the matter is posted for crossexamination of PW1. At this stage, this Court is not inclined to quash the proceedings as it would amount to interfering with the trial process.

4. In view of the above, the prayer sought for in this petition cannot be considered. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to raise all the grounds available to him during the trial. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
