O R D E R
(Made by Huluvadi G.Ramesh,J) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent to issue community certificate certifying that she belongs to Kurumans community, which is a Scheduled Tribe.
2. Heard Mr.M.Radhakrishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.A.Srijayanthi, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.
3. According to the petitioner, she belongs to Kurumans Community, which is a Scheduled Tribe. She submitted an application to the respondent on 01.6.2015 to issue community https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
certificate to her, stating she belongs to Kurumans community, a Scheduled Tribe. She has also enclosed the community certificate of her paternal uncle, in support of her claim that she belongs to Kurumans community. Since the respondent had not taken any steps, she sent a reminder on 14.3.2016. Even thereafter, there was no response from the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition.
4. This Court, while disposing a batch of writ petitions, had directed the Revenue Divisional Officer/respondent to issue community certificates in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.
5. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for the issue of community certificate and pass orders, after verification and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
