ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of investigation, particularly at odd hours.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the petitioner is involved in job racketing case. It is stated that, on the promise of securing employment abroad, the petitioner collected a sum of Rs.3,70,000/- from one Velmanikandan. However, no employment was arranged, leading the said Velmanikandan to lodge a complaint. Pursuant to the same, the petitioner has been called for enquiry.

3. In view of the above submission, calling upon the petitioner for the purpose of investigation cannot be construed as harassment. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain the present petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
