ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is having patta land in Moongilpadi Village Survey No.1/2A in patta No.479, which originally belongs to her husband Manikkam. After his death, the petitioner was in possession enjoyment of the said property. One Perumal and Rajendiran who are the brother-in-law of the petitioner were threatening her with dire consequences and causing disturbance from entering into the property. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint to the respondent police as against the counter parties. She was issued with joint patta for the above said property. The petitioner has given an application for sub division of patta on 02.01.2019 and therefore, she needs to survey the property with the help of the second respondent. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner seeks police protection for his property. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to lodge a complaint before the second respondent. On receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry after giving due opportunity to all the parties and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
