Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the 4th respondent to take necessary action on the petitioner's representation 15.05.2015 as directed by the third respondent and connect the western end of Nagalakshmi Salai to Manickam Salai in Old Pallavaram and provide proper public way to residents residing in and around Nagalakshmi Salai.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Mr.S.T.S.Moorthy, learned Government Pleader, accepts notice for respondents 1 to 3.
2.The petitioner claims that despite the direction passed by respondent no.3 to respondent no.4 to take action to restore the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
public way in view of the representations of the petitioner dated 15.03.2015 and 15.05.2015, there has been lack of action. It is the say of the petitioner that the western end of Nagalakshmi Salai to Manickam Salai in old Pallavaram was connected and a proper public way is required for the residents of Nagalakshmi Salai. However that is sought to be converted into a private property by the Pallavaram Municipality depriving the access to the western end of Nagalakshmi Salai.
3.In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, we call upon the third respondent to ensure that the fourth respondent looks into the matter and a decision is taken within a maximum period of two (2) months of the receipt of the order, after notice to all concerned. 4.Writ Petition stands disposed of.
