According to the petitioner, he is working as an Office Assistant and is living in a rental house. He made a representation dated 28.05.2021 to the respondents requesting to allot Plot No.10, Cox Square Scheme, Tamil Nadu Housing Board, West Coovam River Road, Chennai -2. Since the said representation was kept pending without any action, he has come up with this writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the said representation.
2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready to produce all the required documents to the respondents for allotment of the subject plot under preferential quota of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
economically weaker section and hence, appropriate direction may be issued to the respondents in this regard.
3.On the other hand, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that if the petitioner submits all the relevant documents, the same will be considered and appropriate orders be passed by the respondents, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to submit all the required documents to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, the respondents shall consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.05.2021 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
