The petitioner has come to this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to issue hall ticket to write the examination, which scheduled on 24.06.2017 and 25.06.2017 by condoning the petitioner's negligence pursuant to his representation dated 20.06.2017.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that when the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission issued a notification for the post of Assistant Geologist in various departments of Tamil Nadu State Government and invited applications from the eligible candidates, he applied through on-line and was waiting for issuance of hall ticket for the examination to be held on 24.06.2017 and 25.06.2017. Subsequently, on enquiry, he came to know that his application was rejected on the ground that he had already exhausted fee concession scheme three times and therefore, he has to pay the examination fee, as he was not exempted under the scheme. But the petitioner inadvertently and negligently applied under fees exemption scheme. In any event, the petitioner is now ready to pay the fees. In this regard, he has given a representation on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
20.06.2017. However, till date, no response is forthcoming and therefore, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.
3. This Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition for the reason that when the petitioner had applied for the post of Assistant Geologist through on-line, he has also specifically mentioned that he was entitled to get fee exemption, having exhausted all the fees concession. Therefore, the respondent on scrutinizing his application, has rejected his application on the ground that he has exhausted fee concession scheme three time. Now the petitioner has come to this Court seeking mandamus directing the respondent to consider his case by condoning his negligence.
If the petitioner's case is considered, it will send a bad signal. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition fails and the same is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
