ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the third respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that one Mr.Sampath Kumar has received a sum of Rs.40,00,000/- by giving false promise that he will make arrangement for getting job in N.L.C, Neyveli but subsequently, he did not make any arrangement for job to the petitioner and hence the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the Inspector of Police https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of Thermal Police Station, Neyveli and no action has been taken on that complaint. He further submitted that after four years, the said Sampath Kumar has given a false complaint against the petitioner stating that the petitioner has cheated him and based on the said complaint, the third respondent is harassing the petitioner.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that one Sampath Kumar gave a complaint against the petitioner herein on 18.08.2018 and only for enquiry purpose, the petitioner was called and he was not subjected to any harassment.

4. Considering the aforesaid reasons, the third respondent is directed to enquire the complaint. If the enquire reveals any cognizable offence, the third respondent has to register a case and proceed in accordance with law. Instead of doing so, he should not unnecessarily harass the petitioner.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this petition is disposed of.
