ORDER
The petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 13.03.2025 submitted to the respondents for regularization of his service from the year of initial appointment i.e., from 1992 and in accordance with the orders issued in G.O.(Ms) 125, MAWS Department, dated 27.05.1999 and consequently to sanction pension and other retirement benefits to the petitioner within a reasonable period.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that they joined services in the Mannargudi Municipality on 05.05.1992 as NMR Employee. While so, pursuant to a government order in G.O(D)No.523, MAWS Department, dated 07.09.2023, implementing the orders of this Court in writ petition in W.P.Nos. 24296 to 24306 of 2008, regularized the petitioners from 05.02.2021. Subsequently, the petitioners retired from service on attaining their superannuation. It is the case of the petitioners that they were originally working from 1992 as NMR Employees, according to the government order in G.O(Ms)No.125, MAWS Department, dated 27.05.1999, the petitioners ought to have been regularized as on 01.10.1996 or on completion of 10 years of service.
3. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners made representation dated
13.03.2025 before the respondents for which there is no response till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the relief now sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2025, on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
