ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 27.12.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for grant of patta with respect to the subject property.

Heard Mr.G.Peranban, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.

The petitioner is relying upon the settlement deed dated 21.10.2008 and also the house tax receipts for payment of house tax to prove the occupation of the house in the subject property. According to the petitioner, the property has been classified as a grama natham. The petitioner submitted a representation on 27.12.2024 seeking for issuance of patta. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 27.12.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and in line with the judgement of this Court in [N.S.Krishnamoorthi Vs. District Collector and others] reported in 2025 SCC online Mad 2274 and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
