By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner, being a resident of Pullur Village, sent a representation dated 23.05.2016 to the respondent for conducting the cultural program in connection with the temple festival on 27.05.2016 at "Shri Mariamman Temple" at Pullur Village, Aavarakuppam Post, Ambalur Via, Vaniyambadi Taluk, Vellore District and in this regard, submitted a representation to the respondent on 23.05.2016. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.Satheesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. In the light of the above facts and circumstances and the date of conducting cultural program falls on 27.05.2016, this Court, in this writ petition cannot issue any direction. However, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh representation to the respondent, well in advance for conducting the cultural program in connection with the Temple festival and on receipt of the same, the respondent is directed to consider and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, within a period of one week thereafter, in accordance with law and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner.
5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
