O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to provide necessary police protection for fencing over the land pertaining to the property of comprising a Survey Number 170A/2A1A2 measuring to an extent of 31 cents, bearing Patta No.2709 situated at Ammanambakkam Village, Tiruvallur District, within the registration District of Tiruvallur, Sub- Registration District of Aarani. .

2. The petitioner is the owner of the property comprised in Survey Number 170A/2A1A2, measuring an extent of 31 cents, bearing Patta No.2709, situated at Ammanambakkam Village, Tiruvallur District. While being so, the petitioner decided to have the property surveyed. In this regard, the petitioner filed an application before the revenue authorities along with the requisite fees. Accordingly, the revenue authorities surveyed the petitioner's land and laid boundary stones. However, certain third parties, who neither have any interest in the

adjacent lands nor claim any right over the petitioner's property, are threatening and preventing the petitioner from fencing the land. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that police protection can only be granted to safeguard the life and limb of a person. If there is any obstacle or objection while erecting a fence around the petitioner's property, the petitioner may approach the Civil Court for appropriate relief.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
