Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in Cr.M.P.No.17/2021 dated 14.06.2021 in detaining the detenu under 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, as a Bootlegger and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Vivek, son of Anbarasu, aged about 30 years, who is detained at the Central Prison at Thiruchirapalli, before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Cr.M.P.No.17/2021 dated 14.06.2021 detaining her husband as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3427, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department, dated 03.08.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
