(Delivered by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) This criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed seeking a direction to provide good medical treatment by a team of doctors to the detenu/Balachander in H.C.P.No.817 of 2021.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Balachander, who has been detained under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 is having serious ailments and he should be given specialized treatment by the prison authorities. In support of the same, the petitioner has kept medical records of the detenu Balachander.

On notice, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted a medical report issued by the Civil Assistant Surgeon, Central Prison Hospital, Puzhal, which reads as follows:
"With reference to Affidavit No.HCP No.817 of 2021, the Medical Report of prisoner is furnished below: The prisoner, Balachander @ Venus, son of Rajendran, is taking one Tablet Thyronorm 100 mg Daily morning for Hypothyroidism (for last 3 years). Otherwise, his vitals are stable and his current health condition is good."

In view of the above, we direct the prison authorities to give the best medical treatment possible to the petitioner's husband in the given circumstances of the case.

With the above direction, this criminal miscellaneous petition stands allowed and final hearing of the main habeas corpus petition H.C.P.No.817 of 2021 is fixed on 04.10.2021.
