Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondent police to investigate the case on the petitioner's complaint registered in Crime No.257 of 2016 according to law expeditiously and direct them to file final report within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed by the defacto complainant to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.257 of 2016.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent has registered a case on 26.10.2016 in Crime No.257 of 2016 under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(i) of IPC, later these sections have been altered to Sections 294(b), 323, 324 , 506(i) and 307 IPC and thereafter no steps has been taken to file any final report and hence he requests to direct the respondent to file final report at early.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the investigation is in progress and within four weeks, the respondent will file final report.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file final report within four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the aforesaid directions, this petition is disposed of.
