Respondents PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to appoint the petitioner as compassionate ground for the suitable post in the respondents railways department based on the representation of the mother of the petitioner dated 10.01.2020 and the representation of the Petition dated 21.02.2012 within stipulated time may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking for the following prayer:

"for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to appoint the petitioner as compassionate ground for the suitable post in the respondents railways department based on the representation of the mother of the petitioner dated 21.02.2012."

3. The petitioner is seeking appointment on compassionate ground in respondent Railways on the death of his father, who was stated to have been employed in the respondent Railways.

4. The writ petition is not maintainable for the reason that the employment on compassionate ground is being sought in Railways and only the Central Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench, has jurisdiction to entertain the claim of the petitioner and not this Court.

5. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed, as not maintainable. No Costs.
