By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Aggrieved by the proceedings of the Tahsildar dated 18.08.2017, the petitioners have preferred appeals before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ambattur. As the petitioners have already approached the appellate authority, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for in this writ petition. Hence, without going into the merits of the case, we permit the appellate authority to decide the appeals within a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity to the petitioners and the complainant, if any and pass appropriate orders within the time stipulated supra. Till the disposal of the appeal by the appellate authority within the stipulated time, no coercive steps shall be taken.
